BOR-IT cutting heads are solidly built to
assure the most outstanding, long-lasting performance for a variety
of rugged earthboring duties.
Heavy-Duty Rock Heads
These tough, field proven heads utilize a "V" shape to provide
self-centering action - which helps maintain line and grade.
Featuring easily replaceable carbide cutting tips, these heavy-duty
heads are ideal for boring through solid rock of medium hard
formations. We suggest utilizing oversized heads instead of
wingcutters in hard rock. Heads without wingcutters will over cut
for the casing
Flat Face Rock Heads
Similar to the Heavy-duty rock head in the fact that they have
the same carbide cutting tips. The flat face rock head has the
same body as the combination head which provides for less weight for
the machine to carry.
Combination Cutting Heads
BOR-IT standard rock dirt heads with carbide cutting tips are
designed for situations with boulders or easy-to-cut soft rock and
clay. Wingcutters are standard equipment. For hard,
continuous rock bores however, the heavy-duty rock head should be
used.
Dirt Cutting Heads
These high-quality cutting heads bore through all types of
material except rock. Dirt heads are recommended for 12" or
less in diameter. Each head has a lead screw while wingcutters
are optional.
TCI Rollercone Head
When all else fails and the heavy duty rock head will not cut,
then it is time for the TCI (tungsten carbide inserts) rollercone
head. All these heads come standard with a hex adapter and
stabilizer ring.
